RIO PACHECO —BOY REPORTER! Go behind the scenes and see THE HOLOGRAMS and THE MISFITS from a whole new perspective… that of music columnist Rio Pacheco! What mysteries will he uncover? What truths will he reveal? Or will it mostly just be Pizzazz flipping tables and Roxy crying over ruined bagels?
Rio and Stormer are at the hospital after Pizzazz's car accident. Stormer was listed as Pizzazz's emergency contact, and Rio was the one who found Pizzazz's crashed car. Rio asks her if she wants him to contact Kimber for her, but she tells him it's for the best that Kimber isn't at the hospital if Pizzazz wakes up. Stormer asks Rio to go and tell Roxy and Jetta about the accident, because they're not answering their phones - they're still angry about getting ditched at the party. Rio tells her he knows where they live, because he's been there before.
We flashback months ago to Rio on Roxy's doorstep. He's there to convince her to give him a one-on-one interview for his magazine. She agrees, only because it's the quickest way to get him to leave her alone. Jetta comes home, and Rio finds out that Roxy and Jetta are roommates - but they beg him not to tell Pizzazz.
In the present day, Rio is on Roxy's doorstep again. He tells Roxy about the accident, and both Roxy and Jetta immediately run out of the house to the hospital.
Rio gets a phone call from Rob, his boss. Rob is pushing him to get the exclusive scoop on Pizzazz's accident, but Rio feels uncomfortable capitalizing on their trauma for entertainment. Rob threatens to fire him if he refuses to do it.
He goes to The Holograms' house. Jerrica contacts Elise, and confirms that The Holograms are, indeed, the openers for The Misfits' West Coast tour. Elise also tells Jerrica that Pizzazz has a fractured larynx. Rio asks them if he can do an interview with The Holograms, so that he can make them the bulk of the interview, so that he doesn't have to focus his piece on Pizzazz's accident in what should be a private moment. They agree to do it.
Rio goes back to the hospital, and goes to Pizzazz's room. Stormer, Roxy and Jetta are all at her bedside, and they've even smuggled in Pizzazz's cat.
